Networking Dinner

Business Owners Networking Dinner

Friday, May 29th, at 6pm at the church

THE FLOOD INVITES YOU TO:

shark

Bring your business cards, samples, and information to share with other business owners of integrity in our church and the community. We will be bidding on quality items and services  in our Silent Auction. And be prepared to hear Nathan Groff’s fabulous “Fish Story” of how he risked life and limb to capture the black-fin shark we are having for dinner. You need to hear the story while the fish is still 6 foot long.  (We all know how these stories have a tendency to grow with time!) Come on out and support The Flood Youth Group as they raise funds for the upcoming Boot Camp.

Restoration Dance!

1186342_silhouette

Purpose:

~To glorify, praise, and worship our great and mighty Jehovah God by using our created being in an outward expression of the inward emotion of our heart.
~To allow the Holy Spirit to pray through us as we move and dance to enact spiritual warfare and accomplish His purposes.
~To receive a greater understanding of the love of Jesus Christ and His freedom in dance!

Ages: 8 and up.

Prior dance experience is NOT a requirement. Just as every joyful noise gives glory to God, every worshipful movement brings Him glory.

Restoration dance is not for performance, but for those who want to deepen their worship of God through dance

Using dance in intercession has a powerful action that we don’t fully realize. Just as our every word has power, or every movement has spiritual power. God told the prophets to demonstrate his messages to the people with physical examples. We are created in the image of God and our every movement and action can have eternal purposes.

I hope for the congregation to find freedom in dance, corporately as well as in our individual prayer times.

“Let them praise His name in the dance…” (Psalms 149:3)
“…a time to dance,” (Eccl. 3:4)
“Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance.” (Jer. 31:13) The word virgin can mean the virgin of Israel or bride. We are preparing ourselves to be Christ’s bride.
“And David danced before the Lord with all his might;” (2 Sam 6:14)
“You have turned my mourning into dancing,”  (Psalm 30:11)
“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” (Deut 56:5)
“Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and dances.” (Exodus 15:20)
“They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.”  (Job 21:11)
